I am proud to say this piece has been given an Excellence award in the NOAPS "Best of America 2020" National exhibition!!!!!
This painting represents more than a boot and stirrup, it is a legacy in Texas. I watched a movie about the young woman who wanted to be a jockey, she became the first female jockey and won after competing several times
The name of the movie was "Ride like a Girl" so I renamed this in honor of her, it was so touching.
